The Forerunner 405 watch has a new innovative control system using two hard buttons on the side - "start/stop" and "lap/reset" - and via the unique touch bezel of the watch, allowing a high level of control that is simple to use during your run. There is no need to fumble through a load of buttons to control the Forerunner 405.

The watch bezel is separated into four main regions, time/date, training, menu and GPS. To access a specific area, simply tap and hold the bezel and that option is entered. To scroll up and down menus, all you have to do is run your finger around the bezel, and to enter an option, a short tap selects that option. During a workout, tapping the Forerunner 405 bezel will alternate through a range of customisable screens of information. There is also a light activated by a two-fingered press.

The touch-bezel control system is intuitive and simple to navigate once you familiarise yourself with the menus, allowing you to make selections whilst running without too much difficulty.
